Thinking of dating a friend's ex
Here is the low down. I met a guy friend about a year ago. he is friends with my best friend's brother. he strarted going with us to the track and just car stuff really. So we only hung out maybe once a week or once every other week. He split up with his ex 5 months ago. He said that the just kept fighting all the time, but im 70% sure he was seeing someone else.Im not sure but I think they were together for 2 years.and they have no kids together. for the past 8 months we havent really hung out, me and this friend. well a few days ago his ex comes up to me at work, she was shopping. and starts talking to me about what she has been up to, asking me how i've been and what not. then she starts telling me that she has been going out since the split up. she says that she'd like if we hung out, went out for a drink n stuff. she then gave me her number and a hug before she left. the whole time she was giving me that look like when so into someone. Normaly this wouldn't even be a question, but this is the type of girl I can see myself forever with. and she's beautiful.
Sorry if i kept talking and talking, but im lost on this one.
Do you guys think it be ok for me to go out with her. And if so how should i treat the situation with this friend.

I'd date her. Her lies a problem though - are you trying to sabotage yourself before it even happens?? I wouldn't post this online, but it's too late now. Didn't you say your only connection to this guy besides your brother is through going to the track and cars??
You're going toyourself!

As long as you had nothing to do with the breakup I say go for it.
He lost the title to it & it's on the market now. No one's business but your own.

go for it... The whole statement of Bros before Hos is a joke....
You never know which chic will be the right one that lasts. You never want to be the the dude regretting and wondering "about the one that got away"
Unless your gay and worry "about the one that got away" meaning a close male friend.

If your still friends with this guy and you want to be stand up about it, ask him if he's got a problem with it. If he say's yes ...back off, If he says go for it your in and nobody can say shit. Not that you need his permission but it could ruin a friendship. Just my 2 cents. And remember , she may be beautiful but no matter how beautiful ...some other guy got sick of her shit. Beauty is skin deep , if she's a nut .....look out
Doberman is right though there are a million out there.Last edited by anniversary30; 04-27-2009 at 01:36 PM.

If this is potentially the girl of your dreams you gotta do it. There arent many that stun you like that, so you have to go for it.. Play your cards... just gamble it i guess!
Dont look or think about the what ifs, but just if you dont do it and you regret it.. wrong decision. So just do it.. shoot the gun and go for it!!
GOOD LUCK TO YA
