Bass in a convertible?
I'm the proud new owner of an '02 TA convertible. As you might imagine, the convertible configuration leaves a lot to be desired in the way of sound quality, particularly in the bass department. Has anyone come up with a way to get more bass out of the system without consuming what little trunk space there is? The stock system is pretty weak.
TIA,
Jim

pretty much your only option is a stealthbox in one of the side compartments, and unless you want to take out the motor for the convertible you will have to use the pass side. Thats about all the option you have for bass in a vert.

+1 for the stealth box. You can put an 10" there.

I put a Blaupunkt THb 210A behind the passenger seat. Ran the RCA under the console and used the power and grounds (two of each) that powered the Monsoon amp. WORKS GREAT. If I park with the top down I just unplug the power & RCA and lock it in the trunk.
For the most part with the back seat flipped down you can even see it. It will not piss off the guy next to you. But supplements the door panel Infinity's I have nicely.

If you want something that is better than stock but you don't want a sub, you can just upgrade your stereo and speakers. I would suggest getting dynamat though.
