Any1 here good with Windows Media Player?

So im having a slight problem. I burned movies onto my hard drive and am watching them on media player. Thing is that for some reason it wont let me drag the bar to the certain spot i want it to play at. It will only let me FF it using the controll's and if i need to see something towards the end, it will take all day. Any1 know how to cure this problem. Some movies will let me do it and some wont.

I mean seriously, why buy all that expensive equipment when you can just watch movies on your computer.

x2 on download vlc player. I use it to watch everything, never had a problem since I've had it. Beats wmp11 hands down.
