How much HP do the 2000 6.0 have stock.

I would like to know if someone can tell me just how much horse power a 2000 stock 6.0 engine have? the engine came out of a chevy 4 wheel drive truck. If I do decide to build it,I would like to know where I started and where I end up in hp.

Don'T know if you watch horsepower tv but they are doing a show on a budget build LS block, i'm assuming that is what you have. i think the motor dynoed around 320 give or take. they pulled the motor from a wreaked 4x4 00 or newer.that's all i can remember.

I believe 1999-2000 6.0 heads were cast iron and hp rated at 300, 2001 abd newer aluminum headed versions of LQ4 were rated at 320 and LQ9 @ 345

1999 and 2000 LQ4's are rated at 300 HP
The `01's recieved the Aluminum heads (no powergain) and also a revised Camshaft (same as LS1 for `01-04) that resulted in the new 325HP rating.
