bird sh*t
So I just got my hood and driver side panels repainted in december and the guy told me to keep anything off it for at least 6 months, including birdshit. Well I went away for the weekend and had parked my car under a tree. I guess it cleared up and got real nice out last weekend and when I came back there was bird shit all over my car.
I took it to a self wash and got it off on tuesday when I noticed it. At the right angle with the sun you can see the outlines and splatters of the shit still, I knew it was bad for your car but I didn't think 3 days would do it! I called a paint shop and he said to bring it in and they would wet sand it and that might take care of it, but it would be about 100 bucks a panel. Any suggestions or am I screwed???

I've had Bird shit on my car for less than a day and a clay bar didn't completly remove it, it was etched in. My porter Cable and some polish helped it alot tho.

I had birdshit once on my rear bumper and buffed it out with a buffer and polish..Although it took alot of tries!

I had that same thing happen to me. I had my car painted for one day. The stains were bad. Clay bar and wax did the trick.
