is the new camaro goin to be released

i know a guy who has put a deposit on a new camaro and the dealership called him to notify him that there is a possibility that the cars will not come out, and that money would be returned. they told him that they would know for sure next week. makes sense since GM is doin away with the performance division, any one else heard of this happening

I dont know...a buddy of mine has seen a few black ones and a maroon one out on the road already...although, they may still have the "manufacturer" plate on them, so i'm sure they can be revoked. who knows?

There's also a thread on here where a guy already has an orange one in his driveway covered in snow, up in Canada somewhere.

Well, the line has been moving. But, there is a chance that not all that were ordered will be available. However, there are sure to be some released as they have already been completed.

Guess it just depends on who put down money first ???

I saw six of them on a transport truck a few days ago on the Interstate. I assume they were on their way to a dealer. They looked sweet! I see one in my future!

The dealer just wants the car back so he can mark it up over MSRP when it finally comes in.

I would not be surprised if that was the case? as much hype as this car has created... as much money as was spent developing it... I know GM has done some crazy things, but the only logical way that they don't come out with a new camaro is if there is liquidation of GM.

Do any of you know whats going on with GM Performance Parts??? I know Crane cams is closing its doors. Im just wondering if parts will still be readily available if there is a worst case scenario?
