somethings out of balance!
okay... just put in a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel and there is a vibration at about 1200 to 2500 rpms whether the clutch is in or out. the weird thing is that it goes away at idle (800 rpms). I thought the pressure plate might be out of balance but I doubt it. if it were in the clutch, wouldn't it do it all the time? and as the speed increases, you'd think that the vibration would get worse, which it doesn't. this is weird. anyone have the same thing happen?

well, the drive shaft isn't moving when I'm not moving.

Damn, that must be what happened to mine, about the same RPM with a Spec 2 clutch. Is it bad for anything? Should I be worried about it?

I just don't understand! If the flywheel is balanced when I took it out, and machined an equal amount off of the surface, how could it be OUT of balance? it's not like the flywheel was warped or they took off uneven amounts. I almost think it's the press plate itself... but they claim to be better than stock as far as the balance is concerned.

...the more I deal with cars the less I belive that 95% of what vendors tell is BS.
They just don't give a #uck. The more they sell, the higher is their income.
Better than stock... and 1/2 the price? Yeah!
It's true: normally you don't need to balance a flywheel after it has been resurfaced. Chances are that the pressure plate is off
