on/off fan temps with 180 stat
What's a popular setting to have the low fan on/off temps and high fan on/off temps for a 180 stat? Also what about for the 195 stat...in case I decide to keep the sotck stat temp in there. I put the preadtor canned tune in the other day...pretty sure it dropped the on/off temps for low and high speed. I remember the high speed came on at 205 and shut off at 197....low came on at 196.1 I think.

with a 180 you want lows on about 181 and highs on about 190-193. the high on temp isn't really important

That's a little hot, you put in a cooler stat to run cooler right? lol. Relate the new numers to the old numbers. High came on 10 degrees above stat temp, turned off at any temp in the low fan range, low fans come on as the stat opens in order to maintiain stat temp. My temps basically follow the formula of the original in order to take full advantage of the lower temp stat. His numbers are very well good enough, I just prefer to stay as low as the stat I put in.

These settings are from an old post by James at RWTD I wrote down from the old board a couple years ago:
Stock Tstat
fan 1 on/off 209/200
fan 2 on/off 219/210
180
fan 1 on/off 194/185
fan 2 on/off 204/195
160
fan 1 on/off 184/175
fan 2 on/off 194/185
I'm been using his 160 settings.
