what the hell do i do?
allright here is the car it is a 68 firebird, all suspension has been redone, all new bushings and joints, the rust has already been cut out and replaced with patch panels,it has a built twelve bolt underneath a nice rear suspension setup
and it has already been setup to accept an ls motor and a t56 tranny
there is definitely more money in parts than the $4500 he wants for it
now the problem is i would have to sell my 01 ss to make room in the shop and so i wouldnt be putting $13,000 into it and can put it into the firebird instead
i love my ss and will probably cry when she is gone but i know i would love the firebird even more once it is done,a 68 firebird with an ls mill and a t56 in it, come on we all know thats bad ass
anyway i would really like some more opinions on the subject what do you guys think?

hate to say it, but that is a hard choice. id say sell yours and buy the 68. both would be great rides in the end......but think of beating brand new muscle cars with one that is 40 years old
.....plus how often do you see a 68 running around town

go with the bird. It will keep its value better and they are more scarce. 67-69 birds rule imo

i have the 98 z-28 in my sig, it is my race car
the 01 ss is just a stock slp car and would definitely be hard to replace, it is almost flawless, navy blue metallic, tan leather, low miles,i have all the original paperwork from the factory and from slp, and was basically sitting for half of its life, the only option i can tell it doesnt have is the center mount exhaust
the bird would definitely be a restomod car
probably about 400 at the wheels and just a fun driver
i dont daily drive any of my cars since i have a company truck, they really maybe get driven once or twice a week and sometimes just started for a little whileLast edited by dpinson; 01-31-2009 at 07:23 AM.

do a carb/front mount distributor LSX on the firebird........

Like everyone else, the bird for sure. But it is a hard choice.

i went and looked it all over again and am for sure the bird is mine in a few weeks
all new disc brake setup nice pieces not sure on brand but definitely looked quality, all new bushing in front suspension ,the rear is all done not sure what they call the setup but is a half leaf spring with link bars and a panhard setup, nice pieces also
they have fixed all the rust except two minor spots which will be gone with a little por15,and the work for the t56 and ls motor to fit is done as well as a sweet power steering setup, clutch pedal and master cylinder already taken care of,and it has a brand new gas tank with the pump already in it for the ls plant
there is a few more things like i think it is an original 400 car but may just have the hood not sure yet, anyways thanx for the opinions
i agrred with everyone here and im getting it
