I've had one for about 4 years now-no problems -looks cool as hell. There is an increased noise issue with any of these non factory airlids from the air pump intake not being sound shielded any more-sounds like a vacuum cleaner running under the hood for about a minute under cold start up-not an issue inside the car though, just from outside the car. Not a big deal to me.

I believe only 01,02's use the hose out the lid, a change in emmisions. Just throw some tape over the hole. you must have a lid for another year

More to the point-it picks up filtered air for the air injection pump -and it silences the same-I've read that there are federal noise standards that have to be met by the OEM.Without the stock air lid and a K+N filter on the hose it sounds like a vacuum cleaner running -with the stock lid and the hose hooked up,you don't hear anything.
