1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
Some pics I took of the night sky this week.
Took these from my backyard over the past few nights. Been playing around with long exposures. Kind of cool how those planes flew right through the area I was shooting!
15 minute star trail. The sky is pink because of the light pollution in my neighborhood.
20 minute star trail. 3 freaking planes flew through my shot. The sky is darker because I changed my camera settings.
I was shooting the little dipper and a jet decided to fly by. You can see the dipper on the left.
Here are a couple pretty good dipper shots.
Moon and Venus. I think.
Sunset.

XSi body and I switched between the 18-55mm kit lens and my 50mm 1.8 prime. As for the darker shots, I changed my aperture from something like 10 to 18. I don't remember exactly what it was. Thanks btw. I'm now on a mission from God to capture a near perfect star trail with black sky!!

those are some great pictures, i like how you can actually see the whole moon even though only part of it is reflecting light from the sun
