Rejected by the Army. WTF???

I got my Haircut:

Pumped up! (I’m bigger now, this picture was taken almost a month ago).

And passed the ASVAB test!

Then they found out I have high blood pressure (I’m on meds for it), and they said nope no pills allowed.

WTF???

Why no pills allowed?

I was going into the Army Reserve, it’s not like I was going into the Marines.

Odd. I'd think they could give you a waiver for the condition, and have an army doc prescribe you meds once you were in.

Just joined the Marines myself last month. - No issues (although they put me through all kinds of shit since I have a concussion on my file)

Only thing I can figure is they're being more picky since everybody and their sister is enlisting right now because of the economy. (my ship date is probably gonna get pushed back - supposed to be in feb).

I would be way more concerned that you have blood pressure issues at your age. That's awfully young to have high blood pressure. History of heart disease in the family?

No, you don't walk off taking the meds. You walk off the actual heart attack. It can be done because I've done it. Just last weekend I was waddling up a huge hill at the woods deer hunting and by my count had 18 heart attacks before I got to the top. Just walked right through them.

I had 3 guys drop dead in basic training. 1 from asthma 1 from a heart attack and the 3rd from a grenade. If they counted you out it's for a reason..... besides that pic.

Umm yea you can't have pills in boot man...especially for something like blood pressure that thins the blood. Try eating right and get off the pills when you can...keep the pressure low naturally and try to enlist again.

Fuckers said I had a heart murmur when i enlisted in the marines....they still let me in though because I didn't have pills

damn, elvis boy hit the gym pretty hard. Dude, I'm no soldier but if their policy is no pills you are pretty screwed. They dont want you not getting your meds and being a risk.
