Do most dealerships take offers that low from their asking price? I never bought a car from a dealership before.

Not unless they are really desparate to get rid of the car, so it depends on how long it's been sitting. It looks really nice I doubt they will take 6500 but there is no harm in offering it. I would say with miles 7500/8000 would be a decent price. Start out low and don't look too excited about the car even if you are.

The price does seem a little on the high side. As for the dealer being willing to negotiate -- it all depends on how long they've had the car on the lot, what they have in it (what they offered for trade in, purchase from wholesaler, etc.) and overall demand for the car.
I'd consider driving it home for $8K - $8.5K.

Dealerships will try to be firm in their pricing but they all will negiotiate. You really have the advantage right now. If it were me I would tell the saleman what I want to purchase the car for (a reasonable price) and if he started giving me lip I would remind him how bad the economy is and that people are not buying V8 cars anymore.

No I did not buy it yet.I left a message for the used car salesman and he never called me back. I am curious about that stain, I wonder if other parts of the interior is all stained up. I will go there this week.
