Dilemma
FIXING TO REBUILD MY LS1 WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES BETWEEN 383 STOKER AND 402 STOKER DOES IT MAKE THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE OR EVEN 383 FORGE I AM LEANING TOWARD 402 BUT I JUST REBUILT MY REAR END AND NOT SURE MY UP GEARS WILL PAY OFF JUST PUT 373 GEARS AND NEW AXLES IT MIGHT NOT BE STRONG ENOUGH THANKS FOR ALL INPUT

I have heard from others not to go with the 383,(Luos), but others will tell you that its great, (ed blown vert). I would say go with the 402 cause there is no replacement for displacement as the old saying goes.

Here is a link that has more how-to on strengthening the rear and besides axles and gears, i would do this as well. Even though there are people out there with a lot of power on a stock rear as well as ones broken under stock power.
