Cosmic Grey- 2005 Pontiac GTO
New Member/Truck Info
Here is the current specs on my truck, and yes I know that most people will not agree with the mods I have done so far, the price in these were very right at the time: I have a 2003 Red GMC Sierra 1500 Quadrasteer 4X4 extended cab, it has a 2.5 in/dual out 2 out flowmaster with dumps, I paid $40.00 for the muffler and my cousin did all the welding for me for free, Hypertech III tune, andyes I know that it really isnt the best but I paid $50.00 for the programer and if nothing else using it as a OBD II scanner it was worth it, and a CAI that I bought off ebay for $48.00 bucks including shipping, so i have $150.00 dollars in what I have done so far and it isworkin for now. I do have plans in the work for the 5.3 sitting under the hood. Coming up after the first of the year are, Pypes M-80 duals, shorty headers w/wrap, throttle body and mass air, roller rockers and MSD ignition. If anyone is selling any of above stuff in good shape please let me know. I would also lik to know if the Edelbrock ls1 intake works on the truck motors without having to change the serpantine/water pump please lt me know. I look forward to any and all help.

I'm not familiar with modding the truck engines but one thing I see that I would do differently is try to find longtube headers for it instead of the shorties. I would also not swap out the MAF on it.

sounds like you're off to a good start, +1 on the headers, they'll make a mean soundin truck
the Hypertech will prob give you a bit of power, but its not nearly as good as a mail order or dyno tune.
