This man speaks the truth. ^ The only trick I have for you is to practice your patience lol. It's not that hard compared to how much of a pain in the ass it is...Took me about an hour and a half to do, and the hardest part is taking loosening/ tightening the manifold bolts. There is NO way around it...

you have to remove the oil pressure sending unit from the intake manifold before you pull the manifold

my goal is pulling the manifold

i just dont want to break the opsu this time

i remember where it is locationally
im just looking for suggestions on how to locate it by hand and what to do to disconnect it from the manifold

i never had a problem getting the intake manifold bolts out
though, unless you count the sharp things sticking out of the awning cutting of my friend and I's arms
i think i spent like 3 hours screwing the last bolt back in

the sender isn't connected to the intake at all. What happens normally is people break it off with the brake booster hose. You just have to go slow when sliding the intake out and work that booster hose over the sensor on it's way out.

And with the proper sensor socket (I bought mine from NAPA) you can remove and replace the oil pressure sending unit WITHOUT pulling the intake manifold. A regular socket is too big around to fit. The socket from NAPA has thin walls.

I'd definitely try the socket first before going through the trouble of removing the intake.

the socket has not much to do with it... its the location that causes you to remove the intake... unless you have extremely small hands...

yeah, unless you're a midget contortionist with hands the size of my 4 year old boy just plan on taking the intake off.

could always use a 2" hole saw and just go straight down thru the windshield and dash.... then that socket with a long extension would do the trick....
