*** Countdown to Summer - JUNE TRAIN ***
June 1st and I have yet to fire up the AC system at either the office or home. A random thought I will likely live to regret a few weeks from now.

So far we're picking up where we left off last year. It rains almost every day here. The forecast doesn't look like it's getting better anytime soon.

Got the grass cut today....much taller and it would've needed a brush hog. Going to try and take kids fishing this evening if the rain holds off. Supposed to just be pop up stuff which is how it is every day. Need to get some fish in the freezer....I want to do a fish fry soon.
A meteorologist has the greatest job in the world....where else do you get paid $92k to be wrong all the time?

I've been saying that for decades.
Yesterday. 10% chance of rain, hasn't rained in 20 days (which is unheard of here) I figured I was very safe installing the carpet. F'wing wrong. Rained for an hour. I guess it didn't want me to have a day to work on something where it wasn't 100% humid and muggy as Satan's ball sack

Me and Zach cut up and split a smaller elm tree today that was out back....it was pretty close to our property line with he county. It was up by the root ball leaning against some other trees. My story is gonna be I was worried it's fall on one of the kids. Anyhow....we hooked the chain to it and I let Zach take the truck and pull it down and into the yard. He got out with a huge grin and was saying " damn that truck has some power". Haha.....another diesel guy is being born. Wait until I give him his first time behind the firebird wheel.....I'll try to get a picture of that smile.

Yeah...The cast is off. Still hurts like a mofo, but Doc says that's normal and should go away in a few days. Still need to wear the brace for next few weeks till I get my grip strength back.
