you will need to get a 6.0 block, i dont think you can make the 5.3 into a 408. get a 6.0 block and take it to a machine shop and ask them to check it out. You can also buy a brand new 6.0 block for about $700.
6.0 block
4" stroke crank
6.125" rods
then you need the correct pistons for your application (boost, nitrous, all motor, etc)

to get a 5.3L motor to a 408 size, you would have to replace the cylinder liners. not real cost effective.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

after reading it again, you are correct. he's a little tough to follow.
to find out if it's any good, you would have to pull it apart and inspect all the parts.
