Trans Am engine Vacuum line for Vacuum/Boost Gauge
I have an electric Auto Meter Vacuum/Boost gauge.
Where is a good spot to tap into the vacuum line? A T fitting is already included with the Auto Meter gauge kit.
Is this a good spot to tap into circled in red??

Nope. Go to the back of the intake, passenger side, and you'll find a line there. Other option is the vacuum supply to the secondary air solenoid on top of the manifold, driver side (which sources from the first option).

Getting ready for work right now, but if you go to the back of the engine bay, on the passenger side, it's the only small diameter vacuum line back there. I believe it connects to the MAP sensor which is plugged into the back of the intake on that side. Not easy to get to or see with the cowl...

I plugged my autometer vac/boost gauge in the same spot as in the picture. Is that a bad spot where I will get a false reading? It seems to register correctly for booth vac/and boost. That is where the factory uses the vacuum for the valve covers.

Isn't it the same vacuum line from the picture I posted, circled, going straight to back of the intake, as per a vacuum diagram I came across?
