Pewter- 2001 Pontiac Transam
Just got back from the track. Is this a good time for my car.
I just got back from the track tonight. I have a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am automatic 3.23 geared t top car. My car is bone stock with 70,000 miles on it. I made two passes down the 1/4 mile track. The air temperature was in the low 80's. On my first run I just nailed it and did not stall it up or anything.
My best time was a 13.5 103 mph with a 2.06 60 ft. On the second run I let another guy drive it an he went 13.82 102 mph 2.21 60 ft. He said that he stalled it up to 1000 rpms and left off the line. He said that it had some wheel hop. Is this a good or average time and mph for a stock LS1 01 car. Also, what can fix this wheel hop problem, and is it possible to get it to go a little bit faster than I ran tonight. Thanks

My stock time was 13.7. Sig has current mods and last 1/4 time. I still can't get out of the hole very good on street tires.

Pewter- 2001 Pontiac Transam
The car ran a 8.79 in the 1/8 at 82.86 mph. I've only had the car since last week. I checked the air filter today and it looks like the original air filter that came in it when it is was new. It is a AC Delco paper filter and it was kinda old looking and dirty. Maybe I need to get a new one and do a fresh tuneup on it before I go back to the track. What kind of plugs, and wires do ya'll recommend. Thanks for the replys everybody.
