Tranny Blowout
Just blew my stock tranny in my '00 Trans Am. Lookin to upgrade that will hold the abuse she goes thru. Anyone have any suggestions on the next tranny I should buy?

Preformabuilt. Thier a sponsor here. http://www.performabuilt.com/ go with a level 2 and it should be good for mild slightly wild apps. Get a stall and trans cooler as well.

Thanks man. I got it to the shop and from all I know now is that I broke the transmission extension housing in 2 pieces. Tmr I will find out if it did anymore damage but this winter I will be upgrading the transmission.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
A4 or M6?
Regardless of type it's probably the torque arm that broke the tranny tail shaft (or extension). I've seen it happen before. You might want to look into a relocation bracket or a short adjustable TA. The adjustable type allows you to set pinion angle. See my sig for what I use.
Edit: Just noticed this is the automatic tranny section so you have an A4...Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 08-25-2010 at 03:52 PM. Reason: DO'H!
