Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Got my Watts Link
Just recieved my Fays2 watts link the other day and finally got around to checking it out. There is a lot to one of these units and it's easy to see it's a much more involved installation versus a panhard bar.
Just unwrapping everything took a while and i'm definitely impressed so far. Everything from the parts to the packaging to the detailed instruction booklet had me pretty happy i picked this thing up.
Watts links are nothing new but i rarely see them on fbodys so i'm very anxious to see how much of a difference it makes.
Here are a few pics i snapped. I should have install pics this week if i can get around to it

So far the quality exceeded my expectations. I'm definitely going to weigh everything out as all together it weighs a good amount. Looks like i wont be going with a Fab9 as it won't work with this setup but thats still a ways away. I just hate to have to put this up next to my rusty 10 bolt rear.

Quality parts for our cars don't come cheap, that's for sure. Hopefully the install goes smoothly for you.

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Wanted to get it knocked out today but figured i'd inspect everything before diving into it
As i was piecing everything together i found 2 of the bolts hard to remove and reinstall on the center propeller assembly. Took a file to these areas and cleaned it up a little so the bolt slides in freely, should make the install a little less of a pain.
As most know spherical rod ends tend to clunk and make noise, Fays2 supplied 8 O-rings to keep the noise to a minimum. I found this to be a nice touch.
And here is it assembled, next pics will be on the car

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
So just got back from seeing if i could mount my gopro under the car and with the CME and the GMMG in the way there's no way to get a shot of the rear in action short of melting my camera up or dragging it on the ground. Kinda bums me out but i'll be taking a spin with the camera facing backwards to see if that can show any changes that come about.

Install went pretty smooth, had to pick up longer u-bolts to fit the sway bar spacers.
Also ended up grinding off the brake clips that were attached to the axle tubes on both sides. Angle grinder made quick removal of those.
Just finished replacing the three nuts on the Watts propeller to nylon ones as per the instructions. Still have to get back under and solve one issue i'm having with my exhaust not clearing the clamps that mount to the Axle. It seems the bolt is rubbing when the suspension is compressed so i might end up turning the bolts the other direction and maybe moving it over just a hair, don't really want to mess with the adjustment.
Ended up using the middle slot and i'm extremely happy with the ride, might play with the adjustment later though and experiment with settings.
Now that the panhard bar is out i might try and mount a camera in it's old location. There's a bracket freed up so it looks like i can get it mounted in a good spot to get a good view of everything

It almost feels like i just did the sway bars. Car feels planted when i'm driving around. Didn't drive it much as it started raining but i'll get a better feel the more i drive it around. The koni/strano setup works well with it. Not the ideal setup but I want to hit the 1/4 with it and see what kind of 60' i can manage. Autocross should be pretty fun though!

Looks cool tater..didnt realize you have the GMMG exhaust? They say it sounds pretty aggressive?. I saw it from a reference on a old thread about how you tell if your SS was SLP etc etc....anyway looks cool! are you going to do the sway bar and lca`s next?
