Silver- 1998 Camaro Z28 A4
more a matter of personal taste, the z28 looks extremely clean + nice grille. they are essentially the same cars, and for the extra 1000 you can get your first package of mods together (lid, k&n filter, catback).

There are quite a few high mileage LS1's starting to show up now,,,since the 98-99 models are 9-10 years old now. They are all priced in this range with over 100,000 miles so the price doesn't seem unusual from what I have seen.
I am sure if you keep digging around, and don't mind driving a little distance,,,,there are plenty of others in this price range,,,as long as the mileage doesn't bother you.
Really depends on the history of the car for me. Was it adult owned? Carfax it to check any past recorded history. You can also take the vin number down and go to any local GM dealer,,,,they can run the vin and tell you of any past history records, warranty work etc at no cost...on the car that might give you an idea of it's condition.
Was it taken care of maintainance wise? Was it abused at all? 6 speed cars tend to go through a rough life and see much more abuse,,,which is a big turn off for me unless we are talking original owner, adult owned etc....
The grille has been changed,,a poplular modification among the younger crowd,,,,so the car has been tinkered with. Who knows what else has been messed with. Not trying to scare you off,,,,just check things out thoroughly. Goodluck. Cheers.

Black- 1999 Z/28
Don't be afraid
Of an LS-1 with 100,000 miles. I bought a '99 Z last spring with 110,000 mi (for less than $6800) and it runs GREAT, very solid. One quick hint: check the fluid in the clutch hydraulics to see if its black. I love my '99 M6 and having wanted a Z since 1968, its all I hoped it would be.

If you do Buy the Z, Get a cowl hood for it. Those look awesome on there instead of the plain jane Z hood.

Monterey Maroon Metalic- 2000 Z28
From the pics this Z looks unmolseted. The engine bay appears to be stock, the EGR is still on there and I know I pulled mine off once I got tuned so there is probably minimal if any after market stuff on there. Having a slick grille like that makes me think the previous owner took pride in the car and probably maintained it properly. The tire looks really good too in that first pic. Even the orignal floor mats are in there!
I'd say you have a high mileage well kept LS1 M6. Try to get it for close to 6K and enjoy your "new" car! I would not let 100K miles bother me as long as oil changes, etc. were done regularly. LS1's are strong!Last edited by hoss 2000 z-28; 12-13-2007 at 08:27 AM. Reason: High mileage is no big deal

The owner is a mechanical engineer so it has properly cared for.

It has the standard flat spoiler like it should have from what I can see. Maybe he was kidding around?
