hi, I just installed eibach pro kit springs on my trans am WS6 00 and It seem to be difference between drivers side and passanger side in the back,(the front is ok) the difference is about 1/2". Is it possible that they are not the same left and right side. I have check my installation and it seems to be ok.

Any chance your isolators were accidentally rotated during installation (if they are used with this kit) as that would cause a slight change? Also, with the car lowered and a stock panhard bar, the axle will be slightly offset. This could result in it looking different from side to side.

this is actually extremely common. some people say it's to account for driver weight, who knows. i have yet to see someone who actually figures out what it is for sure.

It is a setup for drag racing. It helps the car launch better - torque from the motor shifting to the rear pass side and the spring is set to keep the suspension from compressing as much to tranfer the power to the wheels. My 99 WS6 is setup that way and works quite well. I would first check the other suggestion about the stock panhard bar though. If all is good, then chances are the spring setup you bought it more tailored for drag racing. Your pass side should be the lower side too.

PS: are you really in iceland? You runnin studded tires most of the year or what?

yes Im from iceland, I only drive my car in dry weathers, and belive it or not we dont have that much snow here in iceland

That's cool. Maybe I'll move there, cause I'm in Ohio and we got a crapload of snow. And it's here for like 6 months. Throw up some pics. You done anything else to it?

I have never seen a 4th Gen that wasn't slightly higher on the left side vs the right. The difference is usually between 1/4-1/2". First thing is make sure the springs are oriented correctly, The lower pigtails should both face towards the front of the car. Also an adjustable Panhard bar is a must when lowering these cars.

The next time you pull the wheels off take a few minutes and compare the left(driver-side) and right(passenger-side) spring seats on the factory 10 bolt axle tubes. First you'll notice the the drivers-side is flat/level, but when you look at the passenger-side you'll notice it's not level , it's angled back(lower in the rear)towards the rear of the car.

With the factory rear-end it always going to sit a little lower on passenger-side rear, just for the reason stated above, if nothing else.
