Mass Air Flow Sensors
So I finally started to dismantle my intake system(planning to P&P the throttle body, clean out the intake a bit and cut down the EGR ding dong).
I noticed the MAFS looked kind of restrictive, and not because of the screen. It just funnels down quite a bit. I seen a bunch of after market sensors for sale and also the Granatelli housing(which is the cheapest option.
Any of this stuff worth a damn? I kind of don't want to port it myself. Or should I ?

Leave your maf alone, it is not worth the time or trouble considering it can handle clear over 500 hp.

Really? I mean, what's the point of porting the TB if the MAF opening is smaller?

Thats true why would you? Iv seen more issues and more trouble out of people buying bigger maf's and tryin to make them work with stock size motors. In my op. its somewhat of a later in the game mod. There are plenty of other things you can spend your money on.

Don't do the maf unless you want lean codes thrown on the computer. It's a tuning issue that most stock computers can't handle.

it is def. not pointless in porting the TB, i felt a difference in the butt dyno, i also opted for the slp maf and it used to thro some lean codes but no more. if i were you i would just clean it and leave it alone

That's what I am thinking now. I got some some MAF cleaner and a Dremmel. So I will clean out the MAF and port off the rough spots on the TB.
