I not sure but I think that was already there. Doesn't look horrible but something to keep an eye out. i'm sure some of the more experienced guys will have more input about.

The k-member is a fairly rugged piece. I don't think you'll do any further harm jacking it from there.

Whew..okay so to double check that IS the k member right? should i put a 2x4 on the jack plate or whatever?

You're good.. Imho maybe the previous owner got stuck and used the hole to hook the chain/cable to.. That area is designed to take a beating.. No worries.

yeah that doesnt look from you jacking the car up. If the car run fine and is not out of alignment or stuff like that i will leave it alone. trying to get that fix can cause more trouble.
I just jack the car from the drivers side by the chassis area and that gives me enough clearance to put a jack stand (for safety ) and to change my oil.
the only thing now is that i put my 2 point SFC and Im not sure if I can use that area anymore.

That is a tooling relief hole, and the piece is stamped out of heavy guage steel @ tens of thousands of psi. Rest assured your cars weight in concert with jacking is'nt enough to damage it..
