crane cams?
anyone know if crane quick lift cams are outdated? im looking at the 224/224 .551 lift 114 lsa. website claims fair, moderately choppy idle. Ill be using cranes variable rockers and et performance heads. compression should be around 11.0.

You should call them up. They have actually came out with alot of new grinds due to R&D. Plus that way you can get the exact cam to your car and needs. Alot of time they will join 2 off the shelf grinds in one for your combo.

No problem. I think the guy you want to talk to is Dave. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure that is the LS specialist.

not outdated yet. they actually have a new lobe design called the LSHS. i am using those in my motor. also, i use the 1.8 shaft rockers.
here was a test vinci high performance did a couple of years ago. a comp cam 220/224 .581/.581 115 LSA with 1.7 crane rockers versus a 216/224 .551/.551 113 LSA with crane 1.8 rockers (brings total lift to .583/.583). using the smaller duration cam with higher ratio rockers made more overall power.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers
