O2 sensors
I have got some long Tube kooks with their y pipe, and the o2 sensors are rattling like crazy. Driving me nuts I have tried warpping them and bending the ring but nothing helps. Is there a brand that doesnt make any noise?

I don't think you'll be able to re-thread the bung so you might just have to cut it out and then weld another bung, but I could be wrong.

Sure it is 02?
If they are screwed in tight I can not see how they (the sensing element) could rattle. The end of your 02 sensor would have to be broken and swinging internally in the breeze. Pull them out and take a look. If okay, your rattle has to be something else.

You sure it might not just be the exhaust rattling on something on the car.

Yea, check the whole things, from headers back. Knocking, pulling and pushing on everything to make sure nothing else was making noise. Its weird.. gets loader when I let off the gas.

I still think it's the exhaust. Mine rattles on the chassis when I ease into the gas, but is fine when in WOT.

I hate to ask, but are you sure a bolt or anything else didn't end up falling into the exhaust and is rolling around in there? lol I have a gravel floor in half of my garage and when I put my LT's on I got a few small stones in it...drove me nuts but I finally figured it out, pulled the mufflers off and got the stones out of them

Haven’t checked that yet, put I did pull the O2 sensor out. If you shake them they sound like a rattle. Check the computer and the sensor are working properly. Talked to a few exhaust shops and they said that over time or higher miles, the sensor can loosen up and make noise. "All the expanding and contracting from heat tends to cause this." I checked my local GM shop and DAMN these are expensive. $153ea for the primary and $160ea for the secondary. Called PEPBOYS theirs are $70ea but they don’t show different part number for the primary and secondary like GM does. Hmm, what do you guys think?

All the Same?
Last (and only) time I checked on ordering they were all the same sensor just different wire length with gave them a different P/N. I got my front/right from auto zone.

Good point about the wire length.. I have extention because of my headers so maybe I can get away with the front cheaper ones.

Just to note, you'll notice a significant quality difference between the AC delco and the Pep boys cheap version. Especially on the wire shielding.
