Tr230 dyno numbers 98 heads=bad numbers?
I had my car on the dyno yesterday and was kind of shocked at my low numbers. I have long tubes, Ls6 intake, full comp cams valvetrain, underdrive pulley, CAI, tune, no cats, TR230 (230/224 111LSA) and 98 heads. I put down 350rwhp and 350 rwq. I found out the dynojet I used is 10rwhp and 10rwq off. So I am at 360 rwhp and 360rwq. This is through a six speed and a 10 bolt.
I was hoping for 375+. Do these numbers seem low to anyone else? I was told that the short block has around 62K on it. The cylinder walls looked very clean and felt very smooth when I asembled the motor. The car runs very strong and the dyno graph was very consistant. Are the 98 heads that bad? I know some people have had good luck with them cam only, but how bad are they?
I know there has been some porting done to the intake ports, but that is all. I think it was a "port them at home project" by the last owner. My tuner and buddies think that the port job could have made the heads worse. I am thinking so as well.
I am going to put on a set of 2000 heads off of my buddys 2000SS and dyno it again.

What kind of dyno??
And yes, the home ported heads could be a problem. Distorted flow will kill power.

You have a pretty decent setup for the TR230 reverse split cam. With a proper tune you should be right around 400wtq/hp. Sounds like the home porting job has damaged your heads.
