Black- 1999 Camaro SS
Mastery Cylinder or Slave cylinder problem?
99 Camaro SS 6 speed. So anytime i drive hard, i can only shift once, b/c the clutch pedal has to be pumped or i just grind goign into the next gear. It's strange b/c it happens even if i don't shift fast. Ex, be in 2nd gear rolling, floor it, then when i go to shift to 3rd (slowly) i can feel the pedal is already lost pressure and i cant make one shift to 4th unless i put it in neutral and pump the pedal a few times. I just don't understand that once it's already engaged in gear how it gets messed up if i go WOT ....
Any help would be apreciated. Thanks.1999 Camaro SS 6 Speed

that is your flywheel glazing over... time for a new clutch and flywheel... also a fluid change wouldn't hurt either...

Master and slave.
Sticking clutch pedal is normally the master though. Actually....the line from the master to the slave...it has a restriction in it.
Clutch is probably on it's way out as well.

why do you all think the clutch is on it's way out though? It doesnt' slip ever when engaged in gear.
i also forgot to mention that i have a lot of trouble shifting into first from a dead stop. I have to either go 2nd to first, or put in neutral, release clutch, then clutch in and then first. it's especially bad when cold.Last edited by chris5; 12-22-2009 at 04:04 PM.
