Silver- 1999 Camaro Z28
Z28 Alignment
Hi,
I'm hoping that someone can help, I've got a 99' Z28 Camaro European spec and it needs the alignment sorted. However being a rare car in the UK none of my local tyre places know or can get hold of the alignment details - even from UK Chevrolet! Does anyone know what the angles should be for the camber, caster, toe-in etc?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Gareth

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
humm hummm
stock specs are:
camber: 0.0' to +1.0' (correct)
caster: +4.3' to 5.3'
toe: 0" +/- 1/32"
try to get:
toe: 0"
caster: +4.5'
camber: as much negative as possible... if you get -0.5' it's great... (goal is to get a bit on the negative side, if possible... otherwise, get lowest value, given you get the above ones.)Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

0.00* to 1.00* is the same as 0.50* +/- 0.50* -- +0.50* + 0.50* = 1.00* and +0.50* - 0.50* = 0.00* you have the nominal number (+0.50*). then you have the range allowed (+/- 0.50*)
but, you are correct on the caster. it's actually 4.80* +/- 0.50* instead of what i posted.

ok, just looked in my hunter alignment machine database. here are the correct specs:
camber 0.40* +/- 0.50* that's a range of -0.10* to 0.90*
caster 4.80* +/- 0.50* that's a range of 4.30* to 5.30*
toe 0.00* +/-0.20* that's a range of -0.20* to 0.20*

toe can be measured in degrees or inches... depends on preferences.
My specs were closer, though

either way. the specs are now located at the top of this forum in a sticky. are you a moderator yet?

In regards to your new sticky:
Here is a decent link/reference to basic alignment/suspensions queries;
