Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A w/ mods, 00 FBVert
Been through that more times then I care to admit. Drink lots of water and pray they are small enough to pass.
Did the brakes & rotor tonight because it's the urgent need. I'll do the upper on Sat when I have more time. I think I have an issue with the passenger caliber. Inside pad was wore at an angle, Outside pad was evenly worn but still had thin material. Driver's side had almost an 1/8" of material and both sides worn evenly, rotor was still good, no need to replace. No sign of a hung piston. Both pistons on the caliber moved freely.
When I hit the brakes before it never pulled to one side or the other, always straight. After the work done tonight, still straight.
Carpy any ideas?

Sounds like an issue with the caliper pins. Cannot remember how the Dodge boys hang their calipers... but that would be my first guess.

Silver- 1999 Trans-Am, 2012 Sonic
Mornin,
Well she thought she passed it yesterday because she felt pretty good last night but she awoke me again this morning with pain but nearly as severe. They told us that it was 2mm and should pass but I don't remember them saying if there was one or multiple. Guess she will find out...looking forward to 8pm so I can start the weekend.....

2mm is a sizeable rock. Especially when their the jagged kind.
Largest one I've ever had was 7mm, that one they used Lithotripsy to break it up.
Jeff - I had one pin bolt that seem off it was a little bent. Still went in but wobbled as you turned it.

Carpy Yes. I'm going to pick up a new pin at lunch and swap out the one that is "bent"
By the way....how in the hell do you bend a pin?

My daughter is old enough now to start helping/learning how to work on stuff so she got put to work last night
Not the first time she's "helped" out. Last night's lesson was "brakes".

I get the night off. My brother is supposed to be ordering parts for the MUTT motor this weekend so I can start the reassembly process. We'll probably clean some parts over the weekend and give everything a good once over.

****GroundHog Day February Train******
Breaking that damn ball joint free was a major bitch. Used a folk and still no budging. Quite a few blows with a BFH.

And the threads in my oil pan are done.

Ugh. Must be that's what you are sending me. My phone likes to take its time receiving pics... sometimes hours, sometimes have to turn it off and back on again for them to come through.
Fixed the rattle in the back of the Suburban today. Turned out that the right upper shock mount was just loose enough for it to move around. I removed the bolt and inserted a washer before snugging things back down. Annoying rattle gone.

Yup. 248k and it thanks me with an oil leak.
Threads were about done when I did the first oil change on it. Just been snuggling it for 3+ years out of laziness and it's already oversized. Hopefully I can find an easy fix tomorrow

this is what I would bet if the pins move freely. I have the same issue with my wife's POS dodge. Need to take those clips out and clean everything down to shiny bare metal. Bet your pads are hanging up in the clips either from rust and shit in the clips or under the clips putting pressure on the pads making them bind.

Buy the nicer line of pads and they cone with new shims for the brackets. Cheap skates...
