I still have this feeling that Holden/HSV may come here as Holden is sending up some Caprice cop cars for us. Might not happen, but could you imagine a 4-door GTO with a blower roaming the streets of the US?

They tried that with Pontiac. G8's sat in lots, so why would one that gets even less mileage sell? I want a Monaro hsv coupe 4 (awd). Goat, 'cept they hook to [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyVmH1P5fLA[/ame]

I don't care if it has 450 HP. I doubt it can match the power through out the rpm range of the ls motors. I am not worried. Plus the 2011 camaro will probably have a slight increase in power.

Welp, if the gen 5s don't get the job done, then the Vettes will.

But the Vette's is a different animal, not to compare with the Mustang. Also, I like the Gen 5's, but it's not really a muscle car anymore... At least I did not get that feeling when I drove it...

Anyone drove a Jag XK8? Reminds me of that, in a way.

With the way these car companies are now, they will listen and change whatever the public dislikes about the gen 5s. Car companies are shrinking and I doubt folks want to lose their jobs due to the public's lack of interest in a car the unions built. But that's just me.

I have met a few folks at car shows over the summer and they want a gen 5. Some who have a gen1 and want a gen 5 to add to their collection. I met an older guy(60ish?) with a gen 5 and he already put in LTs, e-cutouts, HSW nitrous kit, tune and lowered it and is getting 700rwhp and he loves it. Last summer folks were surrounding the car asking the ol man questions. He HATES mustangs. Whenever he rolled in to the show, he flipped the cutout switch and gave a nice rev. That car turned heads.

True. Most of the folks I have met were retirees who wanted to relive their youth. I say go for it and enjoy.

want /=/ purchase. The preorder rush is over. They are stacked up sitting round these parts. Ugly as a *fat* crackwhore and way overpriced. Dealer markup (plus they never have low option ss's), and msrp is high. You can get a vette for less and they don't sell either

They're not selling by you wheelie? Dayum. Here in NJ it's like they're everywhere over the summer. I think I have seen more gen 5s than GTOs to be honest.

most retires wont like getting in and out of the Camaro .. but the Mustang is as easy to get in and out of as our GTOs .. and you can see out of it better even with the 3/4 window louvers ...

Has anyone here heard folks gripe about the 10 stang's rear? I know I have heard dislikes about the "boattail" look. When I heard this I was like WTF until I saw one up close. If I bought a Mustang, it would be an older one, like this:

Eleanor, but in an 05-09 body.
