Ended up taking your approach, Jeff. I had to clearance the center link and tie rod to make myself happy. I just couldn't be satisfied with having very little rotational movement at both ends of the tie rods. Dad and I looked over everything again, and our deduction is that everything is just built beefier than the original parts. The center link alone was .08" thicker cast than the original, and that little bit was close enough to get me the distance I needed. Granted I didn't take that much off the center link alone, but between both pieces I was able to remove enough material.

You should be fine - only fix I could think of was both a pitman and idler arm that have an angle on them -- but there might not be clearance and no idea who makes such a thing.
I am beat from the weekend. We went at it hard and the house is so close to being ready for drywall. I think I am going to install ball valves on the loops for the living room and front bedroom --- that way the system can still operate (not that we need it in the summer) and I won't have to worry about hurting anything. I did take some pics - you'll have to walk me through the bleeding process to get the air out before I fire it back up after installing the valves.

Black / White- '00 T/A M6/'19 Hemi Truck
hit broadway in Nashville at about 3pm yesterday for the CMA Fest concert last night...went straight to the stage honky tonk and started drinking. Got to watch the bouncers throw some old dude and his girl out because she kept flashing everybody in the bar. Pretty sure they were swingers...left the bar @ 7:15ish and headed over to LP Field for the concerts. Pretty good night.
