2000 T/A 108,xxx bought it last July with 94k on it. I am the second owner, nothing was ever done to it when I purchased it. I have replace the head light gear with brass one, light bulbs, rear seal and fluids and o2's. In the last month I have deleted the AIR and EGR, replaced factory exhaust manifolds with BBK long tubes, off road y-pipe, SLP LM2 exhaust, SLP cold air intake, PCV and catch can, plugs and wires with an AEM wide band and tune. Typical LS1 tick when its cold, cracked door panels, sagging doors, slow windows. Next weekend project is rack and pinion and all 4 struts. Main rear seal is starting to leak, but no biggie. Fuel gauge always fluctuates. Leather seats need new foam and bladders need replaced. Had a t-top pin shear off going down the road at 70. Sailed like plain until it exploded all over the road. I wanted one in High School as well and decided it's time for a summer toy and something I can tinker with. Will still drop 11's and turn heads. I would say the LS1 is bullet proof, but then tomorrow something would go wrong. Even if it did, it's easy enough I can fix it and gives me an excuse to do something else to make it better.

So at what point is it worth putting engine mods as apposed to just getting a new engine. I have just over 100k and am thinking about doing heads/cam and intake at this point. It is a DD. Worth doing?
