Yes, I'm serious...I wouldn't ask the question if I either knew what it was or wasn't serious...I was sure it was the turbos, but it also sounds a little like a bad pulley, so I was just making sure I was analyzing the correct sound, because I want to do the same setup and I want to know everything about it before I do it, including how they sounded.

So, before you go being an ass in a TECHNICAL HELP section, try to see the question from the point of view of someone who has never owned or even been around a turbo car at idle.

90mm throttlebody is what makes that suckin noise. the turbos can barely be heard. only someone that knows what to listen for will notice the slight turbo whine from the exhaust at idle.

Ok thanks...are the blowoff valves loud? If not, are they easily switched out if louder ones are desired?

they are loud enough to let people know what you have....and yes they could be switched out for louder ones if you choose. TurboSmart sells a blowoff valve thats a direct fit replacement.

I can not even hear any turbo!

Sounds like a completely sick setup. I want more video. 10 full minutes of you ripping on it around town would suffice.

    Thanks,

I wish I could be there...I was REALLY looking forward to seeing this setup for myself since I plan on doing this, but I guess I'll have to wait for another meet

Is it really the TB that is making that sound? The "Sucking" has to go through the turbo first, I just thought it was the air movement through the intakes, maybe the 90mm TB contributes to that tho.

thats what the air baffles on the stock air lid are for....they quiet it down considerably. it gets louder when you put a lid on and yet even louder when you put a 90mm on. not to mention, theres no Maff sensor on my set up either which supresses some of that sound aswell.
either way...its perfectly normal...no big deal.

i was not being an ass, i just said "serious?" it confused me. If i were to be an ass i would have said something along the lines of "are you f'in serious" or "you gotta be kidding me, wow....." but alas no such thing happened.

tnt it was you awhile back that was looking at a single setup right, i think you had asked me about the aps setup?????

I have had my kit for about a year, and it still is not on. If it was not for getting robbed it would be built already.
If you get a different blow off valve i would love to hear it. I am figuring i am just going to vent the ones that come with the kit into the atmosphere.
