Ya the cobalts geared to the fwd "import" crowd. Making it rwd would kill its market share. Would be interesting though if they made an awd turbo SS.

Yeah but look at all the import drivers that are throwing away their 4 bangers for ls1's...They even had some guy on youtube doing an ls1/rwd setup on his evo. The only way to stuff a v8 into a Cobalt is to make a rwd platform.

I dont think that a Cobalt could ever compete with a Camaro..its like this: Corvette>Camaro>Cobalt performance wise. The Camaro nameplate alone is enough to keep people buying.

There are a lot of popular rwd imports...350z, 240sx,S2000, Supra, and Rx7/8.
So I dont think that rwd alone would take away from its sales.

+1... As I've always understood it a RWD import is much more "valuable" or "desirable" or whatever than the other FWD ones.
