Dang, we've got some high miles... I'm about to hit 100k, and thought that was a lot. It's good to know it's possible to make it last a long time

Black- 1999 Trans am
99 T/A A4, hit 208,000 today. Still running great, changed tranny a 200,000 but stll had life left in it. 168 MPH top speed per GPS, 13.02 @ 107 since trans change. No engine mods, just lowered.
Engine is still strong, think it's just starting to break in.

98' 65,100- runs great- the drivers side window just started making a little bit of noise yesterday-don't know if it's the cold, damp weather or maybe the motor?
Went thru the headlight gear last summer, but took advice from you guys here and did the quick fix- works great.

Wow! I'm shocked! I thought I would be the only f-body on here with over 200,000 miles but that's awesome to see there are others. Makes me feel a little better about mine.
I have 202,049(just got home so I notice these things, lol), on my 99 z28. Stock motor, stock tranny, stock everything! Still pulls hard and then purrs like a kitten when cruising. Also, still makes Mustangs look silly whenever they feel froggy!

i bought my '01 on 0ct 2nd 2009, she had a little over 84,000. now has a little over 87,000. she'll probably be pushing the 100,000 mile marker by the end of this year. she's not a daily driver but me and my husband will be driving her to shows and cruise ins when the warmer weather hits. my '99 only had a little over 58,ooo before she got totaled

Not a TA, but my 96 Camaro has 208,853 and still kicks. Bought it with 21,000 on it in 1999. Nothing major has ever happened in the form of replacement. A fuel pump about 4 years ago.

oil changes are essential to engine durability. back when i worked for Ford we had a parts delivery truck with over 300,000 miles on it (5.4L v8) and i saw a 2000 Expedition with the same engine knocking like hell at 75k,why the truck had regular oil changes and at 75k the expedition still had the original FACTORY equipped oil filter!!! not sure if the oil was every changed or just topped off.

Working as a service technician you will see wierd stuff, that expedition belonged to a doctor who said he did
not believe that oil should have to be changed!

- 2002 Trans Am Convertible
95K on my 02 TA and 30K on the prior 01 bird. Both convertibles and only about 6-7,000 of those miles with the top UP. about 120K miles with the top down here in Florida-- between key west and jacksonville most of the time when not in Melbourne. The TA's seen most of the A1A coastline and also up the left coast line too. It's driven about every inch of highway in Florida. if it rains -- just go faster....

99' Z-28 camaro purchased 3.5 yrs ago w/161k and now at 199k miles!!! and runnin like a dream, except for the 2 recent problems, vats security key contacts in lock cylinder failed, so did the resistor hardwire mod, on mothersday, and today the fuel pump died! anyone know a decent fuel pump? I am prepaired to remove the exhaust and drop the axil, I am not prepaired to pay $400 for a dam pump... btw my sending unit has not read right since I bought the car so this is a good time to fix that also. any recommendations??? ps. just did 4 rotors and ceramic pads, and iridium plugs in the last year also.

Blue/Grey- 2002 Camaro
My '02 B4C car has 205,066 on it today. I am the second owner, and when the state owned it the average oil change interval was 3,003 miles. It was in a bad accident at some point, the transmission was replaced due to being broken causing the flex plate to contact the rear of the block, and the exhaust stsyem was pretty well banged up too. I bought the car at public auction with 156,000 miles, and since them I have replaced; right side wheel bearing and axle shaft, front/rear brakes rotors etc., shocks/struts (AGX set at 8), oil pan gasket and rear seal, motor mounts, alternator, water pump, battery, plugs and wires, roof panel, hood, front bumper/fascia/headlinghts (due to accident), pass side window motor, radio light bulbs replaced. I cut the oil filter open at every oil change and oil samples tested every other oil change. To date not engine problems noted, other than the usual ticking sound when cold. Still has the VASP bule and grey paint. When I replaced the oil pan gasket at 177,000 the pan was clean inside, and I never see and metal stuck to the drain plug when I do the oil change.
Thanks, Andy
I was told that a Corvette was sold at the Carlisle show with 350,00 miles.
