I am interested in a savage X 4.6-dont you have one of those? You think that would be a good truck for someone just starting out? Thanks

Definetly it very dependable, the only problem is big blocks are harder to break in cause it take alot to heat them up. Let me know if you get one I will teach you how to tune and break it in right. Make sure that the hobby shop you get it from or anyone of them close to you has alot of parts for it. If not pick a vehicle that does.

Looking for one just to play around with not race, I like to jump a little , but not try to destroy it like the videos I have seen. They have a track not far from here that is dirt and it looks pretty fun-its at a park. I like the 4wd monster trucks alot.

Cool thanks alot. It may be a few months before I get one but I am very interested. I also wanted to ask you if you could tell me a forum that I could learn a bit more on. Do you think I would be better off buying online or local? If its cool with you I am going to add u on my friends deal. I agree with your logic of running less nitro. My main concern would be making it last as long as possible rather that all out power/speed. Thanks man.

Thats easy make sure you run it rich allow it to cool down between runs. Keep it clean around the fuel tank and engine. Don't leave unused fuel in it.

Makes sense. Thanks again. I live in a large city so I am sure there is an abundance of local hobby shops. They have a race track not far from here I think I will go by there one day and ask around who they think is a reputable shop.

or call the traxxas number. i heard that their tech support is great. i have never ahd anything but awesome power from my trx 2.5 motor. i guess it just depends how you tune, maintain, and abuse the engine.
Every motor, rebuild....etc, ive never had power from day one.....truck has ran like shit

To this day i regret buying the T-maxx.......ill give it one more shot with a piston/sleeve kit.....

then if that doesnt wrk ill clean it up and thrown it on a shelf......

a expensive ass model truck.............only thing that i had that had a ton of power was my rustler that had a "megatech .16" motor that was ment for a T-maxx......would throw rooster tails all the way down track straight away

    I miss that truck........

also, my HPI car was a badass.......lit all 4 tires up takin off line, had to sell to pay bills while i was between jobs
