I downshift.
All the time.
With as little as it wears the clutch, it won't make a difference.
It will save your pads.

I swear it seems like it saves gas too for some reason... I have an explanation for everything but not for how it saves gas. I swear I get WAY better gas mileage when I do it

It was here in Chattanooga at the Forged Muscle Car Show. I got off work late that day after I forgot about the show and I ended up getting in for free and I got something special.
The special part was that I got to see something everybody else didn't. I got to those cars start up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I died and went to Heaven! I had the orange one on video and everything. I accidentally deleted the damn video too... I was pissed. I'll see it again and tape it one of these days. I met Matt Murphy(creator of gmmg who made the dick harrell cars and zl1s) too. AWESOME CARS!
That Tom Henry SS which is pewter almost looks as good as mine.I've got leather and cme and he's got the added hp. I'm working on it though.

When the car is decelerating from a certain RPM, it is not using as much gas as if the RPM's were being held. When decelerating, the engine only uses enough fuel to keep it running. Now on a carburated engine, it would be using probly just as much.

Yes, the R's go up for a split second and that uses very little fuel. After you let off of the gas, it only uses what it needs to keep running.

i dont think the fuel is adjusted when the R's go up or you wouldnt be slowin down

If you are on the gas...then you aren't slowing down.
