I laugh every time I read how putting a car through the gears one time over a quarter mile or so is driving. Drag racing is a mechanics race. Yah, I agree that there is skill involved, but, it's hardly a true test of actual driving ability. If we want to discuss driving skill, it needs to be measured over 10 laps or so on a road course or an oval.

I'm a new guy to this site, this is my first post. I also own a 2004 Mustang Cobra.

I'm not here to bash, slam anyone not my style. There is a better way to convey a win. But too each his own.

A majority of the cars on this site are fast! not all drivers are.

ls1-450 ---So your telling me if a driver dosent know how to make his car go as fast as it physically can for what he's running, he can drive his car correctly....SORRY....drag racing isnt as easy as it may seem. I know alot of auto cross dudes that cant launch for shit.

Maybe so......but I wonder what kind of response I'd get if I went to a Mustang site and posted a thread and called it "I beat the hell out of a Cobra again." Then went on to say I never lose like you did......dont you think I'd be asking for attention??? I havent lost yet, Im sure I will, someday, Im sorry if I hurt anyones feelings, but like I said before, I been on this site for a while, I had a Trans Am when I signed up, Would it make a differance if I had posted about beating a ZO6 in my old Trans Am, instead of my Cobra?

A kill is a kill, Its not a GM Ford thing, its a race. I beat this particular ZO6 by a lot, so I posted it. Just wanted to share the story.

I think you should go to the Ford sites and Keep them honest as well, I know I do anytime they start bashing GM cars, All fast cars are cool to me.

Plain and simple fords sukk! they cant sukk enough air so FoMoCo blows them. nitros and blowers are for guys who cant afford real motors. I would like to have seen that race. i would have jumped in his car & cleaned ur clock. Ive seen Malibus & all kinda heavy cars beat 'vettes. just cuz u got a ford dont mean jack. just sum asshole cant drive. 1 more thing..... just cuz he chirped second dont mean jack, you ever pounded 400 ft lb. of torque to the pavement? O yeah u got a mustang so u pound like 310 ft.lb. torque....past a blower. congrats dude.
