Make sure its the last time you replace the motor by installing the AutoTrix window fix kit available at www.ws6store.com
They are a sponsor.

Sometimes you can hold the window switch in the up position and slam the door shut and that will jar the motor pass its bad spot and it'll roll up. Otherwise you can hold the switch up and pound on the door panel with your fist, near where the motor is or try tapping directly on the motor with a hammer or screwdriver.

Im not sure if its my windows that are the problem or what but niether window works and niether does the power door lock, All that I've checked is the power windows breaker in the fuse panel by the steering wheel , I hear a clicking sound coming from the window when I press the button but no movement, any suggestions before I attempt to replace the window motors?

Ok, I did one side. Got lazy after that. My tip is to use a magnetic screwdriver when putting the little screws in. It went WAY quicker once I did that.

Midnight Blue metallic- 1999 Pontiac Firehawk
My 1999 Firehawk power window motor is dying...Autozone doesn't seem to have any replacement motors listed on their website.
Seemed to be the motor of choice...now what?

If you need to replace the window because is down you need to somehow get access to the rivets that hold the window to the track. I had to remove the window bracket and install a new one. It wasn't to bad to grind the rivets out but I don't know how much room you have if it's all the way down.
You also need to have the new rivets and rivet tool to install the new ones.
Got to be careful if not you can break the window.
If you are not comfortable removing the window you can take it to a glass replace shop and have them remove the window for you. Replace the motor and go back to have the window installed.

i replaced both of mine with junkyard units.5 bucks each.and they dont have to be from an fbody.ive found the sunfires have really good window motors.easily accessible.just look for any 90s gm.it should have same motor as our fbodys do.
