If your 2000 car has the same manifolds as a 01-02 car then yes, your manifolds are almost or if not just as good. It not worth it to buy shorties for a 01-02 car because the manifolds from those years are very good and a HUGE upgrade from a 98-99 car. Not sure what you have on your 2000 though

I'd go with obx. I have never heard any complaints about them, for this car and my mazda mx6 v6. If you go to mx6.com, you would see that almost everyone with headers got autochrome/ebay headers and had no complaints. use the money you save on those on a nice dual exhaust like bassani. thats what I'd do, if i had the money.

I ended up buying a used Kooks setup with ORY. Started work on the car yesterday removing the old parts:
All the old parts:
All covered up for the night, waiting for the new parts to arrive:
Thx for everyone's input on this.
I would not buy OBX headers for any performance application, because the primaries measure only 1.5" I.D., the welds inside the collector and ORY are terrible meaning flow will be adversely effected... Just my $.02!
Lessons learned: You gotta pay to play. Thankfully it only cost me $50 shipping charges to learn this lesson... AGAIN.

You know the SLP headers are an issue with the ground clearence part but as for the power gains I really think you cant go wrong. My friend put them on his 99 camaro SS and gettting them to fit was not an issue at all. SLP in my opinion ar hands down going to give you the highest or next to hp. gains!

Thx!
Needed something to show how high I had it in the air I guess... It was either the Miller or a case of Diet Coke!
If anyone has a set of SLP LTs off their car, I'd love to know what the I.D. (inside diameter) of their primaries measure out to... Everyone that I found who actually installed the SLPs had terrible stuff to say about them, like pretty much anything SLP... MAF... bellows... LTs... I DO have a SLP car cover tho, THAT I like.

FYI for those that have lots of bandwidth to burn:
Here's how it sounded BEFORE the Kooks and the ORY
And HERE'S how it sounds AFTER
Don't mind the hysterical laughing of my buddy in the background. He's a Ford guy and was just happy to hear a real car rev up! LOL

The Kooks measured true! Their primary pipe I.D. measured 1 3/4" !!!

As I had said before ALL quality headers give you a ID measurement NOT a OD like the cheap shit trying to make them self's look better. Same with many exhaust shops! You need to ask them before you spend money is your pipe measurements ID or OD.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
