agreed, the first (known) infected person in the states was homosexual. but it became an epidemic through masses of heterosexual contacts, junky needles and blood donations. (btw, that still doesn't stop straight men from urging prostitutes to fuck without condoms.)
bottom line is, aids is not a gay disease! (am i the only one seeing the pun in that sentence?)
also, if it wasn't for that flight attendant, sooner or later hiv would have reached america and europe through another (straight or gay) person.

the first three lines were satire.

althought the first KNOWN (key word there) infected person in america was a man does not mean homosexuals spread the desease. the hiv virus stays dormant in the body for a long time before you show symptoms. it is also just as contagous in its dormant state.

homosexuals arent responsible for the spread of hiv any more than any other human is.

its simply a desease... and it doesnt descriminate.

I'm not sure what I believe - I think I do kind of think it is something they are born with. But I think the constant pushing people to "have" to accept things is going a bit far. Hey I believe live and let live and yes there is prejudice - but no many how many posters you gay parades you have - it actually seems to make people show their prejudice more. We all have our own lives so as long as it isn't crossing into mine - do what ever you want. Stat telling me I have to do something - now your kind of pushing me - when I didn't necessary need pushed.

how would you feel if christians were being persicuted again? what if you couldnt get married if you were a christian?

dont you think the christian would try to "force" people to "accept" them?

gays are not trying to force people to accept them, their trying to force people tolirate them.

letting them get married and such isnt acceptance... its tolirance. being personal friends with them is acceptance. i dont think they give a shit if your friends with them.

i would feel the same - let people live their own lives - if they want to get married ,let them. yes that does appear to be difficult for many people to live by - but even though i feel that way the constant push for "political correctness irritates me". I may not agree with any prejudices but in the recent years I have actually seen a growth in it among people i know because of the constant push to telling people what they "have" to think. majority of people have their own crosses to carry - and there seems to be much more lack of people just learn how to overcome and better yourself - this world seems to be trying to hard to accommodate everyone.

who knows - i just do personal get annoyed at some of the messages that seem to be being sent out to the children in this world. i want my children to find strength in themselves and believe in themselves and honestly who gives a damn what anybody else thinks - but the world is giving our children a completely different message.

The intention is well meaning I understand but the message is getting lost.

and i can't imagine a gay person trying to force somebody straight to "convert". btw, friends of mine married last spring (their 10th anniversary), our group of friends consists of five couples including them. - all straight except for them, but it's not bothering anybody, not even my 86 year old grandma.
my point is: it just doesn't matter, never did.
