i think it's good you put older bands into the poll: only music with substance survives fashion. bach, mozart, verdi and puccini had tons of collegues who nobody listens to anymore.

i love classic rock, i own at least one cd for almost every band on that list or mentioned by others. and i really dont think its possible for me to select one favorite band of all time... but i do have my peferences

thats true.. and those are thy type of bands that wont be remembered for generations. but i do think that tool/a perfect circle is the type of band that will be remembered for some time. their ceative and different in a good way

and they have been making and releasing successful albums for quite some time.
