Back in highshcool before the 66 charger was in my name I mentioned to my dad there was a school car show. He told me to take it and I turned that down-more than once.

To many bad variables I knew I could drive it whenever I wanted, and I knew I was going to inherit it no sense showing it off to a bunch of people I didn't like anyway

I always kept the dust off the cars in the garage for my stepdad and he's seen me drive them on the road. He pretty much does not care if I drive them, mainly because they need to be driven once and a while and I mostly take them around the lake and to a car show.

I got into an accident with the 1992 Lincoln Mark VII LSC and needed to get to class so he let me borrow the Impala. Did I drive like a nut? HELL NO that car had drum brakes all around and quite obviously no ABS or T/C. So I parked it in a gravel lot far away from other cars in a spot where passers by could admire it with its top down in the early october sun. Went to class and had a girl drive me back to "my" car which she had already known as the Lincoln. Told her which lot to go into and she just about fainted when she saw me get into that hot red car. I moved it over to the cafeteria to meet some friends who lived near me. Told them I was heading back home and if they wanted a ride. So they come outside and this time its TWO girls. they just about lose it when they get in the car.

like toityme said sweet car = sweet ass. I can only imagine if i had my hawk back in college.

Did I try to show off? I gave a couple of free revs in the parking lot. I did NOT speed with the girls in the car. The last thing I needed was to crash my fathers car and injure my friends or someone else. I was 18 at the time. That nice easy ride will be one i'll always remember.

I just don't like how it takes power away, when it should not. I never drove with it on. I learned to drive on my stepdad 97 WS6, 6-Speed 383-Strocker, that car had no T/C... I just don't like it, never did in any vehicle. The worse I seen is in my stepdads truck.

Just adding to this, so I don't seem cocky. I don't think I am a great driver, or the best driver. I am sure there are many on this bored who can out drive me. But I feel, because of how my stepdad teached me to drive and in various cars. I feel that makes me a bit of a better driver then most my age. At least your average 18 year old.

Heres what took place, I woke up drove it to the parking garage and walked the rest of the way to school, babied it on the way to school. I skipped lunch and walked my ass to see if the car was ok, it was thank god. Well all day i'm sitting on the edge of my chair in class, can't concentrate worth shit because I want to drive back home. Finally 2:25 i'm sprinting out of the school and heading to the parking garage. I finally get there by like 2:35 I get in and take the long way home. I get on the highway and tool around with it. So it's like 2:45 when I get out on the highway, I then just baby it at like 70 in 6th gear crusing sounds so tame and chill at that speed, was loving life.

Then I finally see an open lane and switch over to it, I'm like ok here it goes, I downshift to 4th from 6th i'm doing like 70 and all of a sudden the thing goes wooomaaaaaaaa the sound the car made when it downshifted was super evil, i'm already smiling hard as shit and I put both hands on the wheel and gradually accelerate the thing just WOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! i pulled in 4th gear all to like 5600 I look at the speedo and i'm at 115 i quickly shut it down when I saw the speedo. I immediatly start laughing my ass off because of the speed and intensity of that car, It seemed like it went from 70 to 115 in like 2 sec. I was laughing my ass off, that car is bonkers. It gets pretty loud in the upper RPM's, it shocked me how loud that car was.

But yea, that was definentley the most fun i've had all year, amazing how much fun I had in that short amount of time. I got home at like 3:30.

I wish i could have that car that would be the best daily driver ever. I'm still kinda wond up so this stuff may not make sicne.

If I can find some batteries for this camera i'll take some pics if you all want.
