Always better to be upfront and honest when it comes to government work. They will find out about it. If they can find out about a $20 traffic violation that happen way back in your life, they can find out about high blood pressure and a prescription.

Its funny tho when the economy starts to crumble and the word "depression" is softly muttered everyone is rushin to join... screw the country when we are at war but God help us if we become poor...

Yeah, when the economy sucks, the military swells. The reverse was true in the 70's when the economy sucked and we were still in Vietnam.

All service members need to be respected because we to things 99% of the population wouldn't do. I have worked with all branches and have friends in all the branches. But compare a mechanic and a infrantry man, sure there are some exceptions but the average infantryman will be tougher. I am a biomed and I hate it, but I chose this MOS as a backup incase I got injured and had to leave the military I would be able to find a decent paying job in the civilian side. For legal reasons I was not been able to change my occupation. But people can't say they are hardcore because they are in the marine/army. Then when asked what they I in the military, answer I work behind a desk or push buttons all day

There's pussy's in every branch and MOS...but strictly talking odds you're more likely to get in a fight with a jarhead than an air force dude. Call 10 Marines a pussy and i'm sure 8 of them will start swinging...probably about 4 for air force. That and Marines are usually in better shape regardless of MOS.

I don't think it's necessarily the training as it's the mindset and the type of dudes that choose that branch. Same goes for say guys that choose construction over sitting in a cubicle...or turning wrenches over answering a phone.
