Black- 2002 Trans Am WS6
I just had the passenger stocker go out on me this summer. It lasted 8 years and 65K miles of mostly metal, so I guess I can't complain. I was casually looking for a nice replacement, better than stock but nothing ridiculous. I am a performance guy building a nice street car, so the stereo is part of the fun, but I just want to do a mild upgrade since these have to be replaced anyway.
That being said, I was excited about this option as I was reading the thread on here and on tech. Unfortunately, when I click the links to purchase, there is no D4 option anymore...has this speaker been discontinued or replaced with another model? I'm completely ignorant to audio components, so I'm at the mercy of the members here.
Any input or advice?
Thanks,Nick

what is an acceptable substitute, since the Eu-700's are discontinued?
Both mine crapped out yesterday (sails only). rears are stock and good, and the doors are the Infiniti Kappa's 62.7i's (or whatever)...

I'm guessing from your screen name that you have a Camaro, which I believe is a single voice coil, meaning two connections instead of the Trans Am's four (Dual voice coil).
If you do a search for Kee Audio (would link but I can't recall if they're a sponsor or not), you can check out full packages to see what the direct replacements are.
I'm going with some Bazooka Dual Voice Coil Subwoofers that come recommended as direct bolt-in replacements. I believe the comparable replacement is the CDT CL-6 for the Camaro. You can shoot them an email though and get more customized advice, but that's the direction I'm taking.
I hope that points you in the right direction at least.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. The Kickers recommended here are no longer available. Any suggestions for a suitable replacement??
