+1 for the HPtuner. $499 gets the program, all you need is a laptop and some time to read and tune. you can go in and adjust as many times as you want whenever you get new mods. I wouldn't worry about the cats, if you endup running your car through emissions you can always get a set of universal hi-flow cats... a shop down the road from me has 3 inch magnaflow hi-flow cats for I think $60 a piece. Pacesetter LT's 3 inch dual pipes out the sides infront of my rear tires and summit bullet mufflers are going on my car this weekend... I can't wait!

If you're in Houston, there's a good shop called Horsepower Engineering (HPE). They make good custom cams, too.

They sell Kooks and American Racing headers and y-pipes. Both are awesome, but kinda pricey. I've heard that ceramic coated Pacesetters and either their y-pipe or a texas-speed y-pipe are pretty good and very affordable. About $500-600 for the complete package.

Personally, I would go with ARH or Kooks 1 7/8 headers and the Bassani TD setup. Probably the best setup there is, but its kinda pricey...

Hooker's not bad either. I had those on my 96 Z28. They tuck up tight underneath. I had worn motor mounts, so they didn't fit at first. If your mounts are good, or prothane, you should be fine with those.
