wow...i don't have words to describe..looks great good job.. now i miss my red Z even more

ill be doing this to my car soon.. polish wash, and wet sanding the whole car..

Thanks! The paint looks 1000% better than when I first got it. When I have time and get bored, I just put another coat of wax on it!

BTW I pulled the trigger and ordered the "Shaker" induction system from 6LE. The really neat part is that I'm getting a great deal on the set up as it was the one on the owners car. So, I'm essentially buying one of the first prototypes! I dunno, I just think that's kinda cool. He's shipping it out next week Tuesday.

do you have any plans for the grille?

on the shaker.. i think thats a good idea.. i wanted to do that on my Z , but i never could find a place to get it done or buy what i needed..

I'm in love with that hood and I am with you on the front grill. I got in an accident and I just never replaced the grill. I'm always looking tho

I'm still kind of up in the air with the grille.....

Update: Trans go shift kit is going in tomorrow and still waiting for my Spohn front and rear sway bars to come in. 6LE induction set up should go out in the mail tomorrow.

As a minor footnote.....I replaced the stock hood struts which are intended for use with the heavier stock hood with new ones from VFN. It's kind of a minor thing but what a difference, it really makes the hood feel "right."

Does anybody know y they make different headers for 98-99's n the 00-02 camaro's? They r both Ls1 n camaros they wont fit?

They are the same size... just some had provisions for EGR and AIR while others did not.

Got these in the mail today. I wanted to try and put them in, but the shop that is putting in my shift kit didn't get to my car yet...GRRR.

I thought you were going to get a mail order tune and up your pressure and firm up your shift points? I dont think with the mail order tune you need to shift kit. Hrmmm...

I had the shift points changed and the speedo re calibrated by Speed Inc. They are a fairly well known shop in the Midwest. They also adjusted the fan settings.

I guess I forgot to mention that I did have it tuned......

I hope to have it cammed by the end of summer....Just in time to put it away for winter. LOL.

I'm just trying to get the suspension and a bunch of other little stuff together first. Considering I bought it in Sep of last year, drove it for a month and put it away, I think I'm doing pretty well! Although my wallet is pretty damn light.....

Because that would make sense! LOL. Seriously though, I wanted to be a lot farther along in the build then I am. I was basically pretty sick for about six months, I had surgery and a few complications. Without getting into specifics, it really was kind of a nightmare.

Anyway, I'm feeling much better now but basically lost 90% of the winter time. I would have liked to have most of the parts lined up for the build, but it just didn't work out that way......

On another note, I dropped my car off at a local shop to have the shift kit put in.....They still haven't gotten to it. To say I'm pi$$ed would be a major understatement. I'm back at work tomorrow and just burned through my two days off for nothing. If I had the car at home I could of at least put in my new swaybars.

Oh well, what can ya do.....
